Three major factors contribute to our unusual stability of the Crow Wing Kayak:

Flat Bottom (vs. curved) Square Stern Low Center of Gravity

Flat Bottom: The flat bottom provides a more stable surface area platform allowing for a reduction in the side to side instabilty typically seen in most traditional designs. The unique double inverted keel on the bottom provides enhanced tracking compared to other designs. 

Square Stern: The square stern combined with the inverted keel, also elminiates much of the instabilty seen in the traditional kayak design. This produces a pleasurable, straight tracking ride, allowing you to fish and concentrate on other things (besides balancing your kayak)!

Low Center of Gravity: Note the deep seating of the Crow Wing Kayak. Your seat and legs are actually below the water level causing an "anchoring" effect to the watercraft.
